Job Overview

The Senior Engineer is responsible for contributing to the design support, development, and implementation of advanced engineering solutions. This role demands extensive technical expertise, leadership capabilities, and a proven track record of significant contributions to projects. The Senior Engineer will provide guidance, drive innovations, and play a key role in ensuring the successful execution of Hubbell's complex engineering initiatives.  
 

A Day In The Life
  • Providing technical leadership and expertise in the design, development, and implementation of engineering solutions. 
  • Leading or significantly contributing to engineering projects, ensuring adherence to timeline, budgets, and quality standards. 
  • Conducting in-depth technical analysis, simulations, and tests to validate designs, troubleshoot issues, and optimize system performance. 
  • Communicating project updates, technical findings, and recommendations effectively to stakeholders.
  • Identifying and implementing process improvements and methodologies to optimize engineering workflows. 
  • Overseeing quality assurance processes to ensure high-quality satisfaction. 
  • Communicating and coordinating with stakeholders, ensuring alignment with project goals and objectives. 
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant industry standards, regulations, and safety protocols throughout the engineering process. 
  • Providing technical training and guidance to team members, facilitating their skill development and growth within Hubbell. 
     
What will help you thrive in this role?
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical), or related field (required) 
  • 10 years of progressive experience in engineering with a strong focus on design, development, or project management (required) 
  • Proficiency in engineering software and tools relevant to the specific field - e.g., CAD software(Creo, Inventor preferred), Simulation tools, etc. (required) 
  • SAP experience (strongly preferred)
  • Proven track record of successfully contributing to engineering projects 
  • Strong understanding of engineering principles, theories, and best practices 
  • Experience in Project Management, including planning, prioritization, and successful execution of engineering projects 
  • Capacity to manage multiple projects concurrently, ensuring on-time delivery within budget and quality perimeters 
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities with attention to detail and the ability to make informed decisions based on thorough analysis 
    Strong communication skill, both written and verbal 
  • Understanding of industry regulations, compliance requirements, and best practices related to engineering standards and safety protocols
