Position Summary...What you'll do...Role summary:
Walmart is seeking a Senior Analyst, Facilities Management - Energy & Sustainability to support Corporate Real Estate (CRE) facility operations and ensure compliance with safety and company standards. The Senior Analyst, Facilities Management - Energy & Sustainability will support the execution of the campus Sustainability Masterplan while providing technical and operational support for HVAC system optimization, energy performance improvement, sustainability initiatives, and ongoing commissioning activities. This role is designed to ensure continuity of energy management efforts while enabling senior leadership to focus on complex system design, infrastructure strategy, and campus-wide decarbonization initiatives. The successful candidate will demonstrate creativity, innovative solutions, data analysis skills, effective communication, and a commitment to operational excellence while supporting a positive and productive work environment aligned with Walmart’s values and goals. The scope of the job will be Walmart’s Corporate real estate portfolio with the Home Office in Bentonville as a focal point.
About the team:
The Facilities Management team plays a key role in supporting Walmart’s operational excellence by overseeing facility operations and ensuring compliance with safety and ethical standards. The Energy & Sustainability Team is a growing team of engineers, analysts, and control specialists tasked with providing sustainable solutions and energy efficiency savings to the Corporate Real Estate (CRE) Portfolio, this team contributes to energy analysis, data classification, and the implementation of sustainability masterplans. Members collaborate closely with various stakeholders to maintain secure, efficient, and well-maintained environments. They apply expertise to improve processes, support business needs, and uphold company policies. The team fosters a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and integrity, driving results that align with Walmart’s commitment to operational efficiency and responsible resource management.
What you'll do:
  • Support implementation of the campus Sustainability Masterplan initiatives
  • Track, analyze, and report energy, water, and carbon performance metrics
  • Assist in identifying and quantifying Energy Conservation Measures (ECMs)
  • Support Building Performance Standards (BPS) compliance and reporting
  • Assist with troubleshooting HVAC performance issues across campus buildings
  • Review BAS/SCADA trends (CHW, HHW, air systems) to identify inefficiencies
  • Support resolution of hot/cold calls through data-driven diagnostics
  • Coordinate with Facilities, contractors, and commissioning agents
  • Assist in Monitoring-Based Commissioning (MBCx) activities using platforms such as IES or equivalent
  • Support functional testing, issue tracking, and corrective action verification
  • Maintain commissioning documentation for LEED and internal standards
  • Develop dashboards and reports for energy performance tracking
  • Analyze utility data, interval data, and system-level trends
  • Support measurement & verification (M&V) of implemented projects

What you'll bring:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Energy Engineering or related fields.
  • At least 2 years of experience in energy engineering, HVAC systems, or building operations
  • Familiarity with BAS systems and HVAC equipment (AHUs, chillers, boilers, pumps)
  • Experience with energy analysis tools and data analysis tools
  • Knowledge of ASHRAE standards, commissioning practice, sustainability frameworks,
  • Experience in sustainability projects and initiatives in campus environments

Preferred Qualifications:
  • EIT certification, EMIT certification, LEED GA or other energy related certifications
  • Experience with ESPM, LEED, Building Performance Standards
  • Familiarity with digital twin platforms, MBCx tools, and BAS/BMS expertise
