JOB DESCRIPTION/TYPICAL TASK BREAKDOWN:

  • Develop, integrate, and test embedded software for remote control machine applications.
  • Define system requirements, architecture, interfaces, and feature traceability.
  • Design and maintain software using Embedded C/C++ and MATLAB/Simulink.
  • Integrate remote control systems across software, hardware, controls, and communication networks.
  • Perform system integration, verification & validation (V&V), troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis.
  • Support functional safety, FMEA, product quality, and software release activities.
  • Utilize AI-assisted tools to improve engineering productivity, testing, and documentation.
  • Collaborate with remote control system engineers and global teams to deliver production-ready solutions.
  • Work within a cross-functional engineering team focused on remote control and autonomy technologies.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Design, develop, integrate, and validate embedded software solutions for remote control machine applications.
  • Define system requirements, architecture, interfaces, and end-to-end feature traceability.
  • Develop and maintain embedded software using Embedded C/C++ and MATLAB/Simulink.
  • Integrate software, hardware, controls, and communication networks to support remote control systems.
  • Execute system integration, verification & validation (V&V), troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis activities.
  • Support functional safety, FMEA, product quality initiatives, and software release processes.
  • Utilize AI-assisted engineering tools to improve productivity, testing, and technical documentation.
  • Collaborate with remote control system engineers and global cross-functional teams to deliver production-ready solutions.
  • Contribute to remote control and autonomy projects while working within a collaborative engineering team environment.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
  • 5-7 years of experience in Embedded Software Development, Systems Engineering, Integration, and Validation.
  • Strong experience with Embedded C/C++, MATLAB/Simulink, RTOS, CAN, and Ethernet .
  • Hands-on experience with system integration, V&V, and troubleshooting.
  • Experience in robotics, autonomy, remote control systems, or functional safety is preferred.

REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS:

  • Strong proficiency in Embedded C/C++ and MATLAB/Simulink.
  • Experience with RTOS, CAN, Ethernet, and embedded control systems.
  • Knowledge of systems engineering, requirements management, system architecture, and integration.
  • Hands-on experience with system integration, verification & validation (V&V), and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with CANoe/CANalyzer, Wireshark, Git, and related development tools.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and collaboration skills

DESIRED SKILLS:

  • Experience with Autonomy, Robotics, Remote Control, or Machine Control Systems.
  • Familiarity with AUTOSAR, Functional Safety, and FMEA.
  • Experience with HIL/SIL testing and automated test frameworks.
  • Knowledge of DOORS/Jama requirements management tools.
  • Experience using AI-assisted engineering tools such as GitHub Copilot or Microsoft Copilot.
