Job description

Location: Berkeley, CA

We are hiring a Senior Electrical Engineer to our Enclosure Electronics team. You will be joining a team responsible for the development of electronic controls hardware for our large-scale battery systems comprising a wide variety of sensors, actuators and custom electronics. The role will expose you to interesting, multidisciplinary technical challenges spanning various teams at the company, from gas sensing to electrochemistry to high power electronics. This is an exciting opportunity to help shape and be part of the growth of a fast-moving company with breakthrough technology and an incredible mission!

Responsibilities 
    Collaborate with firmware, mechanical, controls, and manufacturing engineers to develop effective and reliable electrical systems
    PCB design: schematic capture, PCB layout, board validation and manufacturing support
    Prototyping and validation of new electrical circuits and systems
    Troubleshoot and root-case analysis systems down to the component level
    Sensor selection, evaluation and interface definition
    Clearly document design decisions, test results, and troubleshooting procedures.

Qualifications 
    5+ years of professional experience, or equivalent education experience in electrical engineering
    Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
    Background bringing products from concept to production stages
    Understanding of electrical design fundamentals
    Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
    Experience with PCB CAD tools (Altium or similar )
    Familiarity with electrical lab tools (oscilloscope, logic analyzer, etc )
    Some programming experience (Python, C/C++, Matlab, etc )
    Must be able to obtain US work authorization

Salary Range 
    $115,000-130,000
