Job description

Electrical Engineer II

Location: San Francisco, CA
Job Type: Full Time

Job Overview

PAE is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Electrical Engineer II to join our team in a hybrid work environment in our San Francisco office. This role is designed for an engineer with a strong technical foundation who is ready to take on more complex design responsibilities. Working under the guidance of a Lead Engineer, you will contribute to the design of electrical distribution, lighting, and power systems, sharpening your skills in technical specifications and interdisciplinary coordination. You will play a key role in moving projects from initial design through site implementation, ensuring all deliverables meet our rigorous quality standards.

Responsibilities
  • Perform Revit/AutoCAD system engineering
  • Design electrical distribution, lighting, and power systems under the direction of a lead engineer
  • Prepare project deliverables with attention to detail
  • Understand and read plans and specifications; develop skills to edit/write specifications
  • Develop the ability to understand other disciplines
  • Apply building codes and electrical industry standards
  • Prepare electrical load calculations and electrical equipment selection
  • Interact with clients and other project team members
  • Support the project lead in developing opinions of probable construction costs
  • Contribute to site visits and prepare reports
  • Perform thorough distribution load flow, short circuit and arc flash energy analysis using Easy Power
  • Implement the project quality management plan (QMP)
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering discipline work
  • Requires a minimum 1-2 years of Electrical E-1 or equivalent experience
  • Engineer in Training (E.I.T.) preferred
  • Knowledge of electrical systems and engineering concepts and the ability to effectively communicate to others
  • Knowledge of project phases
  • Problem solving and analysis skills
  • Delegation skills
  • Organization and attention to detail
  • Microsoft Office Suite proficiency
  • Revit/AutoCAD proficiency
  • Easy Power proficiency
Compensation and Benefits

Hiring Base Salary Range: $96,800 – $118,200 annual
Eligible for time-and-a-half overtime pay

The base salary is one component of PAE’s competitive compensation package for employees. The above range represents PAE's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
