Job Summary and Qualifications
The Pedi Echo tech performs transthoracic echocardiogram studies, to include 2D, M-Mode, Doppler, Color Doppler studies, bubble studies, stress echocardiograms, and other cardiology procedures assigned as well as Transesophageal Echocardiogram studies on Pediatric and Adolescent patient populations in a safe manner. Maintains echo lab protocols and accreditation standards. Technicians will have technical skill of studies as well as instrumentation, maintenance of equipment function and safety policy and procedure. Echo services are available 24hrs a day, 7 days a week, and communicates effectively with other members of the department as well as other departments throughout the facility
What you will do in this role:

  • Independently performs all Types of Pediatric and Adolescent Echocardiograms, for Echo
  • Assures Proper Patient Assessment to Ensure Most Optimal Study.
  • Demonstrates Proficiency When Operating All Equipment • Records and Prepares Studies for Physician Review/Enter Charges Correctly
  • Participates in Departmental Performance Improvement Program
  • Fullfills On-Call Responsibility
What qualifications you will need:
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
  • Vocational School Graduate
  • (RCS) Registered Cardiac Sonographer, or (RVS) Registered Vascular Specialist
