Job Description

Drupal Developer

TOP SKILLS:

1. Sr. Development and Drupal design and use.

2. Ability to deisgn various enterprise websites on multiple platforms using Drupal and PHP frameworks.

3. Collaborative on use and knowledge of opensource tools.

Provide highly skilled and experienced full-stack Drupal development to build complex and customized government websites. Development resources should be able to build customized modules, features, and integration with other systems and third party applications based on continuous integration methods and Drupal best practices.

Responsibilities:

- Lead technical team of other Drupal Developers and Drupal System Administrators in a Linux/Docker environment

- Ensure quality and timeliness of deliverables for multiple customers

- Strong leadership and communication skills needed to bridge the gap between system administrators and software developers

- Build and develop websites with Drupal and PHP

- Participate in daily and weekly status meetings

- Report time and work details on a daily basis

- Record detailed descriptions of work performed and documentation of progress using Jira tools

- Communicate regularly with Federal Task Lead, fellow contractor team members, and contractor Program Manager

- Develop and build with best practice and code excellence in mind

- Ability and willingness to learn and propose new development/deployment workflows to benefit major federal government websites

Qualifications:

Technical

Strong understanding of best practices of PHP development

Ability to architect, develop, and build various size websites

Experience developing custom Drupal modules that leverage the Drupal API and follow Drupal best practices/secure coding standards

HTML, CSS expertise

Knowledge and experience with API development

Experience working with virtualization technology. (VMware, Xen, VirtualBox, etc.)

Understand Integration concepts (restful services, API development, etc.)

Extensive Linux command line knowledge experience with ssh-agent, Git, tar, wget, yum/apt, and curl.

Demonstrated Open Source contributions and / or available peer-reviewed code including custom module development work.

Experience with website caching strategies include opcode, reverse-proxy, and object based utilities.

Experience leading a project with multiple internal and external developers and internal and external stakeholders.
