Position: Activities Assistant / Driver- Avalon Senior Living
Schedule: PRN, various days
Location: Indianapolis, IN 46237

We are seeking a dedicated Activities Assistant / Driver. The Activities Assistant is responsible for coordinating and executing programs and activities designed to enhance the quality of life for residents. This role involves hands-on participation in activities, providing logistical support, and ensuring a vibrant and engaging community environment. This also includes driving residents to and from appointments when needed.
Essential Duties:
  • Assist in implementing diverse activities promoting physical, social, emotional, spiritual and intellectual well-being of the residents
  • Foster positive relationships with residents through interaction and engagement
  • Engage in events that bring residents and their families together for social engagement
  • Assist with maintaining attendance records and inventory of supplies as needed
  • Work closely with Life Engagement Director to coordinate and deliver comprehensive resident care and engagement
  • Assist in coordinating transportation for scheduled activities and resident appointments
  • Encourage resident participation in activities and provide individualized support as needed
  • Adhere to all health and safety guidelines and procedures
  • Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures

Education/ Experience Requirements:
  • Understand and uphold the policies and procedures established by Triple Crown Senior Living
  • Work independently, maintain confidentiality and professionalism, and be a positive leader
  • Demonstrate practical interpersonal skills as well as sound judgment and good decision-making skills
  • Maintain good working relationships with residents and co-workers
  • Proficiency in basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office)
  • Sit for long periods
  • Willingness to perform additional duties as assigned
