Senior Driver
Job no: 493333
Work type: Service/Maintenance
Location: Norman
Categories: Campus Operations/Safety
Pay Range: Targeted Salary: $16.00 per hour, based on experience
Benefits Eligible: Yes
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, Standard/Fixed Schedule; May be required to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays and overtime as business requires.
Travel: May be required
Position Introduction:
This position is part of a small team of dedicated professionals responsible for the shipping/receiving, delivery and storage of items in spaces overseen by OU Housing and Food Services, to include residence halls, offices, restaurants, and apartments. Position will also serve as part of a team of haulers responsible for moving and adjusting furniture within designated spaces and/or moving furniture/appliances to and from the designated spaces and to/from/around the centralized warehouses.
  • Requires a drivers license.
  • May be required to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays and overtime as business requires.

Required Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 12 months of driving experience.

Required Certifications and Licenses:
  • Valid Oklahoma Driver's license in order to drive University vehicles or ability to obtain within 30 days from hire date.

Department Preferences:
  • Prefer 3-6 months previous maintenance experience.
  • Prefer fork lift operator license.
