Job Description:

We are seeking a Director, Integrated Projects to serve as the central point of contact for both agencies and clients across all American Express (Amex) Integrated Agency Team (IAT) projects, both in the US and across our growing footprint in international markets. This corporate role works closely with the Omnicom ICL, operating independently of any individual agency, and is responsible for driving integration, coordination, and execution across multiple disciplines and partner organizations.

As one of our largest and most important client relationships, Amex represents a significant and growing investment across creative, media, experiential, influencer, CRM, data, analytics, and production services. The Director, Integrated Projects will play a critical role in ensuring our company consistently delivers a seamless, "One Omnicom" experience by connecting teams, aligning priorities, and driving accountability across complex, multi-agency initiatives.

This position requires a highly collaborative leader who can influence without direct authority, build trusted relationships across a diverse stakeholder ecosystem, and manage multiple integrated workstreams simultaneously while continuously improving how teams work together.

The role also involves regular client contact - from mid to senior level throughout the Amex organization - so candidates should be experienced and skilled in partnering with clients and building partnership and trust over time

This role will be based in our New York City office and requires regular in-office presence across multiple NY OMC offices, as well as regular time spent at Amex's HQ in downtown NY.

Essential Functions:

Integrated Project Leadership

  • Serve as the central project leadership resource across all IAT initiatives for Amex
  • Drive planning, coordination, and execution of integrated projects from briefing through delivery and reporting
  • Maintain accountability for the successful delivery of integrated workstreams
  • Post-campaign reporting and performance reviews
  • Ensure alignment and coordination across teams to achieve business objectives, timelines, and quality standards

Cross-Agency Collaboration

  • Build and maintain strong working relationships across Omnicom agencies (currently UM, Goodby Silverstein & Parters, Momentum, Acxiom, RAPP, Creo and Omnicom Productions)
  • Partner effectively with external agencies and client stakeholders
  • Collaborate with Amex internal agency teams
  • Act as a trusted connector and facilitator to remove barriers, resolve challenges, and accelerate decision-making

Meeting and Communications Management

  • Lead planning and coordination of content, agendas, and deliverables for internal and client-facing meetings
  • Ensure meetings are strategically designed to move projects forward and support business objectives
  • Track action items, ownership, and follow-through across stakeholders

Workflow & Process Optimization

  • Provide ongoing oversight of workflow management across cross-agency collaboration platforms, including Omni and other project-management environments
  • Identify opportunities to streamline processes, improve efficiency, and strengthen cross-functional ways of working
  • Establish best practices, governance frameworks, and operational standards that enhance project delivery

Strategic Integration & Capability Development

  • Partner with Omnicom and client leadership to continuously evolve integrated operating models and ways of working
  • Drive initiatives that improve collaboration, speed to market, accountability, and overall work quality
  • Support onboarding and integration of new Omnicom capabilities, agencies, and specialist resources as business needs evolve
  • Ensure new partners are effectively integrated into existing workflows and positioned for long-term success

Network Connectivity & Global Coordination

  • Serve as a key connection point for Omnicom agencies operating in international markets
  • Facilitate communication, collaboration, and alignment across global teams supporting American Express
  • Help maintain consistency of process, delivery standards, and client experience across regions

Client Value & Thought Leadership

  • Support development and execution of value-added initiatives that strengthen the Omnicom-Amex partnership
  • Coordinate Omnicom participation and client engagement opportunities at key industry events, including Cannes Lions and other relevant conferences
  • Facilitate the regular flow of thought leadership, innovation, and strategic insights from Omnicom to Amexs
  • Identify opportunities to bring new ideas, capabilities, and market perspectives to the client relationship

Education, Skills and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in integrated project management, account leadership, client operations, marketing, media, consulting, or agency management
  • Experience managing large-scale, cross-functional initiatives involving multiple stakeholders and workstreams
  • Demonstrated ability to operate effectively in complex, matrixed organizations
  • Exceptional project management, organizational, and communication skills
  • Proven ability to influence stakeholders without direct reporting authority
  • Strong executive presence and client-facing experience
  • Prior experience within the Omnicom network or another holding company environment a plus
  • Familiarity with integrated marketing services across creative, media, CRM, experiential, influencer, production, and data disciplines preferred
  • Experience supporting global or multi-market client organizations preferred
