Business Insights Sr. Analyst
As the Business Insights Sr Analyst, you will support data-driven decision-making processes, provide strategic insights, and mentor junior analysts. You will use best practices and knowledge of internal or external business issues to improve products or services. Develop and articulate strategic recommendations based on rigorous data analysis. Primarily work independently with collaboration across other functional teams to access data elements, understand the data being analyzed, and identify process improvement opportunities. You will be a key player in providing insights that directly impact our business strategies through complex analysis and 'big picture' thinking.
Primary responsibilities include:
  • Provide analyses and reports to identify trends/insights and formulate recommendations that will influence business decisions. Create, synthesize and present customized data requests, transforming data into a story that informs both high-level strategy and tactical decision-making.
  • Work with business leaders to identify and understand business needs. Translate needs into requirements and deliverables. Work with technical and development partners to deliver solutions based on requirements.
  • Ensure accuracy of results and analytic methods through testing and validation of underlying report data. Ensure bias and data quality issues are resolved or explained when communication occurs.
  • Identify business opportunities and opportunities for optimization through analysis of large, complex data sets.
  • Manage many priorities with minimal oversight. Plan and prioritize to hit deadlines in conditions that may change rapidly or involve ambiguity.
  • Procurement-specific responsibilities:
    • Develop and implement procurement strategies to optimize cost savings and efficiency.
    • Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and evaluate their capabilities.
    • Monitor and analyze procurement performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.
  • Responsibilities specific to Oracle:
    • Utilize Oracle Accounts Payable systems to manage third party vendor processes and ensure data accuracy.
    • Generate and analyze reports from Oracle to support procurement decision-making.
    • Collaborate with IT to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Oracle systems.
  • Responsibilities specific to Ariba:
    • Implement and manage procurement datasets using Ariba.
    • Ensure compliance with procurement policies and procedures through Ariba.
    • Train and support team members in using reporting from Ariba for procurement activities.
  • Responsibilities specific to Excel/Tableau:
    • Develop and maintain complex Excel spreadsheets to track procurement activities and performance.
    • Use Excel and Tableau Dashboards for data analysis, forecasting, and reporting.
    • Create visualizations and dashboards in Excel and Tableau to present procurement data to stakeholders.
Qualifications, Education, Certifications and/or Other Professional Credentials
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, business administration, or quantitative field.
  • 5+ years professional experience in an analytical role.
  • Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, changing environment and to adapt while focusing on key goals and objectives.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with experience providing business insights and recommendations from data sets.
  • Intermediate proficiency with numbers and analytics and experience in analyzing large amounts of data.
  • Ability to manage and develop ongoing client relationships.
  • Project management skills, including the ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment and work effectively with colleagues and clients in multiple departments.
  • Experience with market research, analyzing consumer behavior, or consulting.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's Degree in Business Administration.
Hours & Work Schedule
  • Hours per Week: 40.
  • Work Schedule: Monday - Friday.

The salary range for this position is $80,000-$120,000 per year, plus an opportunity to earn additional incentive earnings (if applicable). Actual pay is based on various factors including, but not limited to, the budget, work location, and relevant skills and experience.
