The Data Developer we're looking for must be a quick learner and, not scared of challenging the current processes in place. They must know how to organize workloads efficiently to balance live operations and development. The ideal candidate has expertise in documenting processes, best practices, and platform usage guidelines to ensure clarity and effective knowledge sharing within the team.
 
This is a senior position, so we are specifically seeking someone who can bring their past experience to the table and elevate our team's ability to efficiently handle the data for our games.
In this role you will:
  • Using advanced SQL and Data Build Tools (dbt) on Snowflake, develop and improve the current data models to support the analysts, and user researchers.
  • Keep up to date and use best practices in testing, security, cost monitoring, performance monitoring and effective use of resources..
  • Promote best practices and ensure consistency across games.
  • Using Python and Airflow, develop and improve the current toolsets that support the main game data pipeline and gather secondary data.
  • Oversee various data project encompassing different area of expertise (data development, data analysis...).
  • Help junior team members thrive and grow.
What we are looking for:
  • Training in data development, business intelligence, software development or related fields.
  • At least 6 years of experience in data modeling involving complex SQL transformation on large data set (including experience with cloud databases, Snowflake preferred).
  • The equivalent experience developing Python and SQL-based ETL scripts suitable for production environment and utilizing a pipeline scheduler.
  • Experience in implementing data governance best practices.
  • Experience with Snowflake, DBT, and Airflow.
  • Experience with cloud services (AWS or others) is an asset.

  • Promouvoir les meilleures pratiques et assurer la coherence entre les jeux ;
  • En utilisant Python et Airflow, developper et ameliorer les ensembles d'outils actuels qui soutiennent le pipeline de donnees du jeu principal et collectent des donnees secondaires ; 
  • Superviser divers projets de donnees englobant differents domaines d'expertise (developpement de donnees, analyse de donnees...) ; 
  • Aider les membres juniors de l'equipe a s'epanouir et a se developper.
Ce que nous recherchons :
  • Formation en developpement de donnees, en intelligence economique, en developpement de logiciels ou dans des domaines connexes;
  • Au moins 6 ans d'experience en modelisation de donnees impliquant des transformations SQL complexes sur de grands ensembles de donnees (y compris une experience avec une base de donnees en nuage, Snowflake de preference) ;
  • L'equivalent d'experience en developpement de scripts ETL bases sur Python et SQL adaptes a un environnement de production et l'utilisation d'un planificateur de pipeline ;
  • Experience de la mise en uvre des meilleures pratiques en matiere de gouvernance des donnees ;
  • Experience avec Snowflake, DBT et Airflow ;
  • Experience avec les services cloud (AWS ou autres) est un atout.
