Senior Data Engineer

The Role
As part of continued growth, a new opportunity has arisen for a Senior Data Engineer. As a member of the Science Research Technology team, this individual will help design, build, and scale data-driven solutions for the Science Analysts, especially in the Equity space.
Qualifications
  • Strong experience in Data Science
  • Strong programming skills in Python and experience with SQL.
  • Experience building and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines and data workflows using tools such as Airflow, Glue or similar orchestration frameworks.
  • Proficiency with cloud platforms, especially AWS (S3, Lambda, Batch).
  • Experience with one or more modern data architectures (Snowflake, DataBricks, Fabric).
  • Strong understanding of data modeling, data warehousing, data governance, and metadata management best practices.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD, Git-based workflows, containerization (Docker), and modern software engineering practices.
  • Hands-on experience developing, deploying, and testing solutions in cloud environments (AWS preferred).
  • Strong experience debugging, optimizing, and performance-tuning high-volume data pipelines.
  • Financial-services data domain expertise is preferred.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills; ability to work with cross-functional teams including data scientists, researchers, and business partners.
  • Ability to work in Agile environments and deliver in fast-paced, mission-critical settings.
  • Proactive problem solver who can independently drive solutions end-to-end.
  • 5+ years of experience
