We are looking for a Data Center Technician to join our Atlanta team. This individual will lead technical operations and strategic initiatives for data center infrastructure, serving as a
subject matter expert who drives operational excellence, mentors the technical team, and ensures
alignment between tactical execution and strategic objectives.
What you will be doing: 
Technical Leadership & Team Development
• Function as technical team lead, providing work direction and mentorship to Level 1 & 2
technicians; Serve as a technical authority for complex infrastructure issues
• Lead large projects including data center builds, rack migrations, and new infrastructure
offerings
• Design and implement operational improvements
• Develop training programs and conduct knowledge transfer sessions
• Foster a culture of learning, accountability, and operational discipline
Operational Excellence
• Own development and maintenance of SOPs, maintenance schedules, and runbooks
• Conduct root cause analysis on incidents and implement preventive measures
• Drive continuous improvements to reduce deployment time, improve quality, and
eliminate waste
• Monitor and optimize data center environmental systems
• Support incident response and root cause analysis
• Perform quality assurance reviews on high-risk or complex work
Strategic Initiatives
• Partner with DCMs on budget and capacity planning, resource allocation
recommendations, and long-term infrastructure strategy
• Evaluate new technologies, tools, and processes for operational adoption
• Build vendor relationships and assess service provider performance
• Contribute to disaster recovery planning and business continuity procedures
Specialized Expertise (depth in one or more areas)
• Infrastructure engineering (structured cabling, power, cooling, facilities)
• Network engineering (routing, switching, firewall configuration)
• DevOps related work (automation, scripting, configuration management)
What skills and experience you need to have: 
• 5+ years of progressive data center operations experience with demonstrated technical
leadership; Deep expertise in data center infrastructure & advanced knowledge of
hardware lifecycle management from procurement through decommissioning
• Proven track record of leading complex initiatives
• Expert-level understanding of at least one technical discipline with broad knowledge
across all infrastructure domains
• Industry certifications acquired: IDCA Certifications such as on DCIS - Data Center
Infrastructure Specialist & DCOS - Data Center Operations. Alternative certifications
from CDCP, CDCS, CompTIA Server+, or Cisco CCNA are valuable as well.
• Working towards additional certifications such as DCIE - Data Center Infrastructure
Expert, DCES - Data Center Engineering Specialist, DCE - Data Center Expert.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• Strong leadership presence with ability to influence cross-functional teams
• Ability to translate technical concepts for diverse audiences
• Proven ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution
After the successful completion of new hire training, the working hours/shift for this position is Monday through Friday from 9 am to 5 pm ET.
Physical demands and requirements:
The position operates in a data center environment and physical requirements include but are not limited to:
  • Must be able to safely use a ladder
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time
  • Require the use of hands to fingers
  • Frequent sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing
  • Must be able to distinguish different colors
  • Require use of tools such as screwdrivers
