Job Description:

The Senior Data Center Strategy & Business Case Lead will support a large-scale data center footprint rationalization and business case development initiative. This role will lead strategy development, stakeholder engagement, business case creation, and executive roadmap planning to help optimize data center operations, reduce infrastructure costs, modernize hosting strategies, and align infrastructure decisions with broader application and cloud transformation objectives.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead stakeholder workshops and working sessions across infrastructure, cloud, finance, application, cybersecurity, and disaster recovery teams.
  • Support current-state assessments of data centers, colocation facilities, disaster recovery environments, and cloud-hosted workloads.
  • Define and drive overall data center rationalization and consolidation strategies.
  • Evaluate facility closure opportunities, colocation exit options, and migration sequencing approaches.
  • Partner with technical teams to understand application-to-infrastructure dependencies and business impacts.
  • Develop multi-year transformation roadmaps supporting data center modernization initiatives.
  • Build executive-level recommendations, business cases, presentations, and decision-support materials.
  • Identify investment priorities, implementation phases, key risks, dependencies, and governance decision points.
  • Coordinate inputs from technical SMEs, application owners, finance teams, infrastructure leaders, and architects.
  • Support executive strategy reviews and roadmap planning sessions.
  • Qualifications:

Required Qualifications:

  • Senior-level experience in data center strategy, infrastructure rationalization, and enterprise transformation planning.
  • Proven experience supporting data center consolidation, colocation exit initiatives, cloud migrations, or infrastructure modernization programs.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise infrastructure, hosting models, application dependencies, and operational support frameworks.
  • Experience leading executive discussions and translating technical assessments into business-focused recommendations.
  • Demonstrated success developing business cases, investment plans, transformation roadmaps, and executive decision materials.
  • Strong facilitation, stakeholder management, communication, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across Enterprise Architecture, Infrastructure, Cloud, Cybersecurity, Finance, Application, and Disaster Recovery organizations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting large-scale infrastructure transformation initiatives within complex enterprise environments.
  • Familiarity with hybrid cloud and cloud adoption strategies.
  • Experience developing cost optimization and technology debt reduction strategies.
  • Consulting or advisory background supporting C-level stakeholders.
