Introduction

Overview

Reporting to the Business Transformation Director - Data, this role serves as the primary reporting and analytics lead for their domain within the Business Transformation team. This leader will serve as the principal liaison between the defined domain within the Program Business Lead teams (Finance, Merchandising, Store Ops/Ecom, Supply Chain), the Tech Data team, and our System Integrator.

This lead role will have ownership of understanding and representing the needs for end user reporting and analytics and will be responsible for defining and translating the business requirements for reporting that will guide the activities of the product and tech teams in alignment with the defined reporting and analytics strategy.

They will work with the Organizational Readiness team to plan and execute the transition from current-state to future-state reporting and will partner with third party vendors to make sure Data timelines are met and Data quality thresholds are achieved for the project.

This leader will lead reporting and feature developments that drive automated decisions with data science and machine learning to improve performance in operations. This leader is responsible for managing all communications with colleagues, stakeholders, and leadership regarding all elements of their report portfolio.

This is a full-time, dedicated role for the duration of the transformation program (estimated 5-7 years).

Our flexible/hybrid work schedule includes 3 in-person days at one of our core locations and 2 remote days. Our core office locations include Salisbury, NC, Quincy, MA, Carlisle, PA, Scarborough, ME, Hyattsville, MD.

Responsibilities
  • Serves as the primary reporting and analytic lead to the business functional lead, assuming ownership of the data migration effort within their assigned domain to set strategic data and reporting direction and prioritize development efforts for solution integration.
  • Manage a roadmap of reporting initiatives and partner with various teams across the organization to deliver on this roadmap, ensuring timely delivery and successful implementation of new capabilities.
  • Serve as a liaison between domain SMEs and the data architecture team, facilitating effective communication and collaboration.
  • Collaborate closely with Reporting and Insight managers to identify where data-driven optimization opportunities exist to support this roadmap.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and integration of data transformation efforts with broader business strategies.
  • Identify key performance indicators (KPIs) and develop metrics to track and measure the effectiveness of data transformation initiatives.
  • Responsible for selection, setup, and oversight of multiple tools and systems (both off-the-shelf and developed in-house) that support simulation and optimization.
  • Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies related to data and reporting and provide insights and recommendations for improvement.
  • Establishes clear responsibilities and processes for monitoring work and measuring results of the team.
  • Facilitates an open dialogue with a wide variety of contributors and stakeholders.
  • Role model partnership behaviors, build cross-functional connections and develop industry-leading expertise.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Business or Supply Chain Management.
  • 6+ years' relevant experience, with a preference for retail and/or grocery.
  • Proficient understanding of data analytics principles and ability to effectively partner with SMEs and data architects to drive reporting process enhancements.
  • Effective communication skills to bridge the gap between business and technical language, conveying complex concepts and findings to data architects and fostering productive collaboration.
  • Proven success defining and operationalizing future-state business processes, ways of working, and value realization strategies in multi-brand, complex organizational environments.
  • Ability to leverage data to analyze complex problems, create solutions that positively impact the business.
  • Highly collaborative with proven experience partnering, influencing and negotiating to achieve shared objectives.
  • Building strong relationships to drive adoption of new processes, tools and ways of working across multiple teams.
  • Proven track record of delivering measurable business outcomes and sustaining value post-implementation.
Preferred Qualifications
  • MBA or MS in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, Data Analytics or similar discipline preferred.
  • Preference for progressive experience in business data management, domain leadership, or enterprise transformation, with handsโ€‘on involvement supporting a functional domain in a largeโ€‘scale ERP or enterprise technology program.
  • Direct experience with SAP S/4HANA or comparable ERP platforms preferred.

ME/NC/PA/SC Salary Range: $108,880 - $163,320

IL/MA/MD/NY Salary Range: $125,200 - $187,800

Actual compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on their unique qualifications and experience, internal equity, and market conditions. Final compensation decisions will be made in accordance with company policies and applicable laws.
