Job Overview:
  • The Research/Data Analyst Senior will be responsible for extracting, analyzing, and interpreting complex datasets using SQL and Oracle databases.ย 
  • The role involves developing reports, identifying trends, supporting evaluation and research projects, and delivering data-driven insights and visualizations to stakeholders using tools such as Tableau.

Requirement/Must Have:

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in a related field from an accredited college or university with 2 years in a related lead or supervisory role, OR Associateโ€™s degree with 4 years of related experience including 2 years in a lead/supervisory role, OR 2 years of experience at IT Business Analyst or equivalent level.
  • Strong experience with databases such as Oracle and SQL.
  • Experience extracting and working with large datasets from enterprise systems.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficiency in query writing, reporting, and presenting findings.
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau.

Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience working with databases (SQL, Oracle, etc.).
  • 5+ years of experience in data extraction from organizational or institutional databases.
  • 2+ years of experience in criminal justice or data management/analysis preferred.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform job responsibilities with minimal supervision.
  • Extract primary data from Oracle databases using SQL.
  • Interpret and analyze data using statistical techniques.
  • Provide timely and accurate data for internal and external requests.
  • Clean, validate, and prepare datasets for research projects.
  • Identify trends and patterns in complex datasets.
  • Oversee evaluation and research projects.
  • Communicate evaluation plans and details to stakeholders and leadership.
  • Collaborate with external research partners on data understanding and alignment.
  • Manage, summarize, and analyze quantitative and qualitative data.
  • Summarize research findings and their implications.
  • Prepare findings for publication and reporting.
  • Develop and review published research content.
  • Create data visualization dashboards using Tableau.

Should Have:

  • Experience in criminal justice or data management/analysis domains.
  • Strong report writing and data presentation skills.
