Job description

Position Overview
The Senior Data Analyst supports business decisions with insights gained from advanced data analysis. This role works directly with BCS product segments and functional areas to identify opportunities, evaluate outcomes and provide clear data-driven recommendations.
The analyst will act as a data consulting resource for BCS teams and also lead more complex projects, such as predictive model development, translating findings into actionable recommendations. The position requires strong technical skills, sound business judgement and the ability to communicate insights in a practical way.
This position will report to the Director of Data Analytics.
Essential Elements
  • Partner with BCS business units to understand strategic objectives and define analytics approach that supports decision making
  • Use advanced analytics, data modeling, and forecasting to optimize outcomes
  • Translate complex data findings into clear and actionable recommendations - act as data "storyteller"
  • Build and maintain analytic data models to support key initiatives such as customer/business partner behavior, operational efficiency, and revenue generation
  • Partner with Data Engineering (IT) to provision scalable data tools
Requirements
Education and Certifications
  • Required - Bachelor of Science degree in Data Science, Business Analytics, Statistics, or other related field
  • Preferred - Master's degree in a data discipline, continuing education/certifications in data
Experience
Required
  • At least 7 years of experience in analytics
  • Strong business acumen with at least 5 years of experience partnering cross-functionally
  • Proven ability to deliver insights that influence strategic decisions
  • Advanced SQL, Python (ML libraries), data viz tools (Power BI, Tableau)
  • Experience with machine learning, predictive modeling, statistical methods, and monitoring/governance
Preferred
  • Insurance industry experience
  • Experience with Azure ML and other Azure tools, Power Automate, Visual Studio
Travel Required
  • Regular attendance in office as mandated by BCS HR policy
