Job description

Bering-Alaka`ina Holdings (BAH) has a potential need for a Sr. Cybersecurity Engineer to provide support for our government customer in Laurel, MD at Ft. Meade.

POSITION IS CONTINGENT UPON CONTRACT AWARD.

DESCRIPTION OF RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Designs, tests and implements state‑of‑the‑art secure operating systems, networks, and database products.
  • Conducts risk assessment and provides recommendations for application design.
  • Handles a wide range of security issues including architecture, firewalls, electronic data traffic, and network access.
  • Analyses are performed at all levels of total system products to include concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal.
  • Uses encryption technology, penetration and vulnerability analysis of various security technologies, and information technology security research.
  • Designs and develops new systems, applications, and solutions for external customer enterprise‑wide cyber systems and networks.
  • Responsible for analysis, evaluation, and recommendations designed to promote economy, efficiency, and effectiveness in the customer's security program.
  • Builds and maintains trusted relationships with customers.
  • Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints.
  • Integrates new architectural features into existing infrastructures, designs cyber security architectural artifacts, provides architectural analysis and relates existing system to future needs and trends, embeds advanced forensic tools and techniques for attack reconstruction, provides engineering recommendations, and resolves integration/testing issues.
  • Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
REQUIRED DEGREE/EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION
  • Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity or another related field.
  • May be required to meet additional DCWF 8140/8570 certification requirements.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
  • Must have a minimum of eight (8) years of cybersecurity experience in a secure DoD environment.
  • Experience conducting risk assessments.
  • Experience with network access, firewalls, architectures and electronic data traffic.
  • Experience in providing network cybersecurity recommendations for upgrades, resolutions and implementation as needed.
REQUIRED CITIZENSHIP AND CLEARANCE
  • United States Citizenship required. (Green Card not acceptable)
  • Must have an active Top Secret/SCI clearance.
