Job description

The Senior Cyber Security Analyst will leverage their strong technical background and knowledge to support critical cybersecurity operations, monitoring and analyzing activity across systems to identify and respond to threats. This opportunity is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and is passionate about protecting digital infrastructure. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: • Providing detection, identification, and reporting of possible cyber-attacks, intrusions, anomalous activities, and misuse activities. • Characterizing and performing analysis of network traffic and system data to identify anomalous activity and potential threats to resources. • Performing security event and incident correlation using information gathered from a variety of sources within the enterprise. • Executing cyber incident triage to include determining scope, urgency, and potential impact while identifying specific vulnerabilities. • Tracking and documenting cyber incidents from initial detection through final resolution and remediation. • Analyzing and assessing damage to data and infrastructure as a result of cyber incidents and performing trend analysis. • Operating in a 24x7 Shift Work environment to ensure complete and functioning systems meet all requirements. Minimum Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree or 4+ years of additional IT and/or cyber experience in lieu of degree. • 5+ years of experience in Information Systems Security or related cyber fields. • Possession of an active IAT Level II certification such as GSEC, Security+, SSCP, or CCNA-Security. • Experience with both Windows and Linux operating systems and understanding of database security. • Experience with COTS technologies and current Cybersecurity protocols used in CSOC environments. • Experience working across teams to drive a security agenda and manage complex, intertwined systems. Preferred Qualifications: • Ability to function effectively in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks and coordinating resources. • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with senior management. • Sound judgment and decision-making abilities with a focus on evaluating priorities and determining best solutions. • Capable of working independently and collaboratively while adapting to shifting project priorities. Clearance Requirements: • An active TS/SCI with Polygraph is required for this position.
