Job description

The Senior Cybersecurity Engineer leverages in-depth understanding and experience in cybersecurity requirements development, cyber threat analysis, cyber engineering, cyber systems architecture development and cybersecurity policy development experience. to facilitate security engineering tasks in support of the customer's system security objectives.

Essential Job Functions:

ย ย ย ย ย ย  Develop cybersecurity requirements, policy standards, best practices, guidance and procedures applied to combat systems.

ย ย ย ย ย ย  Conduct cybersecurity related research, analysis and coordination activities in support of DOD cyber assurance.

ย ย ย ย ย ย  Lead working groups to develop cybersecurity strategies to meet emerging threats.

ย ย ย ย ย ย  Perform cybersecurity system engineering design, analysis and documentation of combat systems.

Required Skills:

Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.

High school diploma with a minimum of 13 years of experience.

Must possess current TS Clearance and be SCI eligible.

Requires a minimum of 5 years program specific security engineering experience working with Navy afloat/tactical combat systems or 13 years of general security engineering experience.

IAT Level II or Level III certification in accordance with DoD 8570.01 or successor.

Possess the ability to:

ย ย ย ย ย ย  Develop cybersecurity requirements, policy standards, best practices, and guidance and procedures for combat systems.

ย ย ย ย ย ย  Conduct cybersecurity related research, analysis and coordination activities in support of DOD cyber assurance and policy efforts are multiple classification levels.

ย ย ย ย ย ย  Lead working groups to develop cybersecurity strategies to meet emerging threats.

ย ย ย ย ย ย  Perform analysis of cybersecurity, intelligence and information technology policy gaps for combat systems.

ย ย ย ย ย ย  Perform cybersecurity system engineering design, analysis and documentation of combat systems.

ย ย ย ย ย ย  Develop cybersecurity risk assessment analysis and risk mitigation plans for combat systems.

ย ย ย ย ย ย  Develop documentation of cybersecurity requirements, gap analysis, threat analysis, system engineering, risk assessment and mitigation for combat systems.

ย ย ย ย ย ย  Develop or use MBSE models to perform cybersecurity analysis.

Familiarity with cybersecurity requirements, policy standards, best practices, guidance and procedures applied to combat systems.

Understanding of cybersecurity, military system specifications, DoD IA policies for both Land Based and afloat/tactical systems, and the ability to communicate clearly and succinctly in written and oral presentations.

Must be proficient in the use of the MS Office Suite (MS Word, MS Excel, MS Visio) and other tools to develop required system documentation.

Desired Skills:

Recent cybersecurity engineering experience.

Familiarity with Naval Combat Systems.

Bachelor's (BS/BA) degree.
