Primary Purpose

The Art Director is a strategic, creative designer/art director who will craft ideas to enhance our company brands, product lines across our many products and channels of distribution. They will develop, design and manage integrated marketing campaigns across diverse businesses; and collaborate with other marketing personnel and creative team members to deliver in all types of media including web, digital, advertising print, sales support tools, direct mail, and video. The person in this role will work closely with the Creative Director and the Senior Writer but must also be able to concept, design and work independently.

Major Responsibilities

  • Work in partnership with the VP Creative director and internal brand partners to concept and design a variety of campaigns and collateral.

  • Ability to develop and produce creative concepts through execution.

  • Oversee the aesthetic and visual direction of the brand's visual identity.

  • Concept, plan, and oversee brand/product shoots.

  • Design for all marketing needs, across all media, including work for seasonal marketing campaigns, branding initiatives, web and print work such as POS signage, print ads, sales materials, emails, etc.

Minimum Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

  • 4 years' experience writing and editing in a marketing environment.

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities

  • A strong portfolio that demonstrates competency in art direction and design that meets marketing strategy objectives.

  • Command of Adobe Creative Suite

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office especially Power Point

  • Strong communication and presentation skills. Ability to work on multiple projects and produce great visual solutions under tight deadlines within a fast-paced environment.

  • Ability to set accurate project schedules and work-flow process under significant workload.

  • Ability to successfully persuade/influence team members, sell ideas effectively and deliver results.

  • Attention to detail and successful follow through.

  • Team player, with positive attitude towards the creative process and strong understanding of consumer marketing objectives.

Office Environment:While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear; and use hands to manipulate objects or controls. The employee is regularly required to stand and walk. On occasion, the incumbent may be required to stoop, bend, or reach above the shoulders. The employee must occasionally lift up to 25 pounds. Specific conditions of this job are typical of frequent and continuous computer-based work requiring periods of sitting, close vision, and the ability to adjust focus. Occasional travel.

Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear; and use hands to manipulate objects or controls. The employee is regularly required to stand and walk. On occasion the incumbent may be required to stoop, bend or reach above the shoulders. The employee must occasionally lift up to 25 - 50 pounds.
