Job description

Sunrise Futures is looking to hire a talented Senior Systems Engineer to join our team.
The Role:
  • Working collaboratively with the technology and business teams on all aspects of our global trading and research infrastructure
  • Researching and implementing enhancements to our infrastructure systems as well as automation and monitoring
  • Exploring and working with industry-leading technology and hardware
  • Working alongside industry experts in the fields of finance and technology
  • Lead/mentor junior team members
  • Taking ownership of and leading projects from start to finish including design, roll out, and testing
  • Working on challenging and dynamic problems in a team atmosphere

The Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience with unix systems engineering-oriented tasks
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or an equivalent field
  • Experience with unix servers working in bare metal and virtualized environments
  • Experience with scripting languages and automation tools
  • Experience with low latency environments is a plus but not required
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be willing to take ownership and lead others
  • Problem solvers who are driven, self-motivated, and "outside of the box" thinkers
  • Motivated, dependable, and responsible team players
