Job description

Parra Consulting Group (PCG) is actively seeking a Security Specialist to provide physical and personnel security services to the Science and Technology Directorate's Office of Space and Counterspace (SCS). Serve as a Senior Contractor Program Security Officer (CPSO) and provide support to the Government Program Security Officer (PSO).As the CPSO, she/he will provide support for program security and execution of all security policies and requirements for specified SAP programs, compartments, sub-compartments, and projects, located in Reston, VA

This successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

  • Review, draft, and maintain physical security and facility-related documentation.
  • Conduct inspections of physical facilities, including TSCM compliance checks.
  • Develop and update SOPs and other facility-related documents.
  • Train personnel on access control lists and associated procedures.
  • Train personnel in courier and secure transport procedures.
  • Perform physical and personnel security duties in support of SSO/SSR responsibilities.


Qualifications & Requirements

  • Active TS/SCI with CI Polygraph (required).
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience working with government security databases (e.g., DISS).
  • Experience working with JADE, Scatter Castles, JPAS
  • Strong SAP and SCIF accreditation experience
  • Experience preparing, maintaining, and submitting security paperwork; familiarity with ICD 705, DoDD 5205.07, and related directives required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.).

Preferred Qualifications and Skills:

  • Center for Development of Security Excellence (CDSE) training highly desired
  • Special Program Security Certification (SPSC) strongly desired
  • Experience training on and working with Special Access Programs (SAPs).
  • Experience supporting SCIF accreditations and inspections.
  • Experience serving as an SSO or SSR in government or contractor roles.
  • Experience working with the Department of Defense (DoD) or the Intelligence Community.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
