Job Description:

As a Senior Product Marketing Manager for Observability, you have the opportunity to be a strategic leader responsible for driving business success for HPE OpsRamp Software across the product lifecycle. We’re a fast-growing team looking for an accomplished observability product marketer who can collaborate with leaders in product management, sales, and marketing teams across a global, matrixed organization.

You’ll shape messaging that differentiates HPE observability from the crowd, lead go-to-market initiatives with precision, and deliver high-conversion content that consistently drives measurable pipeline growth. You’ll empower sales and partners with clear, actionable positioning while helping customers solve IT challenges to accelerate growth in a fast-growing market. Specifically, a strong candidate can position solutions for personas including SRE, platform engineering, and IT operations teams, and for use cases such as incident management, root cause analysis, and hybrid cloud observability. You know the market and understand leading observability vendors (e.g., Datadog, Dynatrace, Splunk, Elastic, New Relic, Grafana, App Dynamics, SolarWinds) to articulate differentiated value.

  • Go-to-Market Strategy: Define and execute go-to-market strategies for existing and new product offerings.   • Market Research and Competitive Analysis: Conduct market research to identify trends, customer pain points, and competitive insights. Translate research findings into actionable recommendations for product positioning and differentiation.
  • Sales Enablement: Develop sales enablement tools, such as battle cards, product training materials, and objection-handling guides. Partner with sales to ensure they are equipped to effectively communicate product value to customers.
  • Customer Advocacy: Work closely with customer success teams to identify and showcase customer success stories. Leverage customer feedback to refine messaging and influence product roadmap decisions.

Education & Experience:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Computer Science, or a related field. MBA or equivalent experience is a plus.
  • Marketing Experience: Minimum 5+ years of product marketing experience in a complex hybrid cloud or cloud-native environment.
  • Experience with Observability solutions is required
  • Technical Knowledge: Demonstrate experience marketing observability platforms across metrics, logs, traces, event correlation, and distributed systems. Experience connecting observability and AI/AIOps narratives, including automation, anomaly detection, and predictive operations, into business value.

Skills:

  • Marketing Expertise: Proven success marketing to SRE, platform engineering, and IT operations teams by developing go-to-market strategies, crafting differentiated messaging, and leading cross-functional product launches.
  • Collaboration: Strong track record of partnering with product, sales and marketing teams.
  • Communication: Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation skills to a variety of customer, sales, and partner audiences; able to simplify complex concepts; experience influencing stakeholders at all levels to drive alignment.
  • Analytical Thinking: Leverages market, customer, and competitive insights to inform product and marketing strategy.
  • AI Tools Proficiency: Shows experience using generative AI tools to scale content development, refine messaging, and improve efficiency and pipeline impact.
