This role combines hands-on development, system-level thinking, and close collaboration with cross-functional teams including software engineers, systems integrators, and program managers.
You'll be at the forefront of designing and deploying real-time computer vision systems that perform in dynamic and often high-stakes environments. This is a results-driven role within an ML-Ops environment focused on delivering production-ready solutions, processing large-scale data, and ensuring robust model deployment and performance in real-world conditions.
In this role, you will also contribute to full lifecycle systems engineering activities, ensuring the translation of mission requirements into scalable, effective, and supportable technical solutions across both software and integrated systems.
What You'll Be Owning:
โ€ข Design and implement advanced vision models for tasks such as object detection, tracking, scene understanding, and activity recognition.
โ€ข Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate vision capabilities into defense systems.
โ€ข Optimize performance for edge devices and embedded systems.
โ€ข Complete testing and validation of computer vision systems.
โ€ข Contribute to system architecture, technical strategy, and full lifecycle systems engineering activities.
โ€ข Perform technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk analyses, and supportability and effectiveness assessments.
โ€ข Conduct functional analysis, timeline analysis, trade studies, requirements allocation, and interface definition to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.
โ€ข Support system development across all lifecycle phases including concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance, and disposal.
โ€ข Ensure the logical and systematic conversion of customer and product requirements into total systems solutions that account for technical, schedule, and cost constraints.
โ€ข Mentor junior engineers and help define best practices for the team.
โ€ข Maintain security and compliance throughout the development lifecycle.
