Job description

Our vision is to transform how the world uses information to enrich life for all.
Micron Technology is a world leader in innovating memory and storage solutions that accelerate the transformation of information into intelligence, inspiring the world to learn, communicate and advance faster than ever.
As a Senior Product Owner at Micron Smart Manufacturing and Artificial Intelligence (SMAI) Planning & Operations Innovation department, you will support ID1 manufacturing operations by translating real fab needs into practical Smart Manufacturing solutions. This role is ideal for a hands-on, operation-focused individual who can work closely with manufacturing users, engineering teams, data teams and system owners to define requirements, drive UAT, support deployment and ensure solutions are adopted to improve wafer movement, WPD, cycle time, equipment productivity and output performance.
Primary Responsibility
  • Work closely with ID1 manufacturing, planning, process engineering, industrial engineering, data science, IT and SMAI teams to identify operation needs and translate them into clear product requirements, user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Provide functional and process guidance on Smart Manufacturing system capabilities to support maxout, wafer movement, WPD, cycle time, equipment uptime, run rate and output improvement initiatives.
  • Own the product backlog, prioritization, UAT readiness, deployment follow-up and post-release adoption tracking for ID1 manufacturing operation use cases.
  • Stay close to shop-floor and operation users to understand real workflows, pain points, manual workarounds, data gaps and adoption blockers, then convert these insights into practical solution improvements.
  • Partner with technical teams to develop data-driven applications, dashboards, AI/ML-enabled recommendations or system integrations that are useful, trusted and scalable for manufacturing operations.
  • Drive hands-on problem solving during pilot, UAT and deployment, ensuring issues are clarified quickly, trade-offs are visible and business value is protected.
  • Build reusable BKMs and operating playbooks so successful solutions can be sustained at ID1 and scaled to other Micron sites where applicable.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Operations Management, Data Analytics or related fields preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
  • Hands-on experience in semiconductor manufacturing operations, process engineering, industrial engineering, planning or fab systems.
  • Proven track record translating operational challenges into deployed solutions that deliver measurable business impact.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to leverage data to drive decisions and continuous improvement.
  • High ownership, growth mindset and commitment to becoming a trusted partner for manufacturing operations.
