Now, CGC is seeking to hire a top manga expert to lead its expansion into this vibrant and growing collectible category.

Today, CCG is one of the world's largest providers of authentication and grading services for collectibles, having certified nearly 90 million items across a wide range of categories. Headquartered in Sarasota, Florida, CCG also has locations in London, Munich, Shanghai and Hong Kong. In 2024, CCG aims to open new offices in Dubai and Tokyo, as well as launch grading services for pulps and manga.
This is an incredible opportunity for a top manga expert to help establish authentication and grading services in one of the hottest collectibles categories. You will work cross-functionally to develop grading standards and processes, holders, content and more to support the launch and ongoing operations of this game-changing grading service.
This position will be based at CCG's headquarters in Sarasota, Florida, but will likely include domestic and international travel to trade shows and other CCG offices.

Responsibilities:
  • Identification of genuine, counterfeit, altered and/or restored manga of various years (Golden Age, Silver Age, Modern) and genres (Shonen, Horror, Shojo, Seinen, etc.)
  • Develop authentication and grading standards and processes in collaboration with senior leadership
  • Partner with the company's internal and external resources to develop holder solutions for manga
  • Identify, hire and train additional manga experts
  • Maintain the company's database of manga collectibles and ensure accurate and consistent descriptions for manga collectibles
  • Enter all relevant data into the company's computer systems
  • Collaborate with the company's marketing team to produce content and inform its marketing strategy for manga
