Job Title: Sr. CNC Machinist | #8871

Location: North Prairie, WI

Pay Rate: $22.00 – $25.00 per hour (based on experience and qualifications)

Shift & Schedule: 1st Shift - Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for utilizing 3D CAD models to develop precise toolpath strategies, design and fabricate fixturing, and set up CNC machines to produce high-quality tooling. This position requires strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and efficiency in a fast-paced shop environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Utilize 3D CAD models to create effective CNC toolpath strategies
  • Design, plan, and build fixturing to support accurate machining processes
  • Set up and operate CNC machines to manufacture precision tooling
  • Select appropriate tooling, offsets, and machining parameters for optimal performance
  • Verify part accuracy using precision measuring tools
  • Meet production deadlines while maintaining high quality standards
  • Safely operate CNC machines, shop equipment, and forklifts
  • Coordinate with the Tooling Specialist by handing off completed tooling for final benching and rigging
  • Assist with Tooling Specialist and Shop Assistant duties as needed
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace
  • Follow all company policies and safety procedures
Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • High School Diploma or GED (required)
  • Post-secondary education in CNC Machining, Tool & Die, Tool Making, or related field (preferred)
  • Relevant CNC machining experience (preferred)

Skills & Abilities

  • Ability to interpret 3D models and machining data
  • Proficiency in CNC machine setup and operation
  • Working knowledge of CAD and toolpath software
  • Comfortable with computers and manufacturing software systems
  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on precision
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Willingness to take on additional shop-related responsibilities
  • Ability to supply basic personal tools required for machining tasks
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Capable of standing, bending, and working in a shop environment for extended periods
