A Brief Overview
The Senior Cloud Engineer has advanced knowledge of the application and the technology stack, including strong experience in AWS, Python, and C# to build, enhance, and support cloudnative applications. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys handson development, working in modern cloud environments, and collaborating closely with crossfunctional teams to deliver scalable, reliable solutions.

The ideal candidate is comfortable contributing to system design discussions, writing highquality code, and continuously improving application performance, security, and operational efficiency.
What You Will Do

  • Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs using Python and C#/.NET.

  • Build and support cloudnative applications on AWS, leveraging managed services where possible.

  • Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support automated builds, testing, and deployments.

  • Collaborate with product managers and QA teams to deliver features endtoend.

  • Write clean, welldocumented, and testable code aligned with engineering best practices.

  • Analyze and resolve production issues, focusing on reliability, performance, and cost optimization.

  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to team standards and best practices.

  • Support technical design discussions and contribute to ongoing system improvements.

What You Will Need

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent Required

  • 8+ years of software development experience in enterprise or productbased environments.

  • Strong handson experience with Python and C#/.NET.

  • Practical experience developing and running applications on AWS.

  • Familiarity with AWS services such as Lambda, ECS/EKS, API Gateway, S3, RDS or DynamoDB, IAM, CloudWatch, and SQS/SNS.

  • Solid understanding of REST APIs, microservices, and eventdriven architectures.

  • Experience working with SQL and NoSQL databases.

  • Proficiency with Git, CI/CD tools, and automated testing practices.

  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development practices.

  • Strong problemsolving skills with good communication and collaboration abilities

  • AWS Certified Developer - Associate.

  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (CloudFormation, CDK, or Terraform).

  • Knowledge of Docker and container orchestration fundamentals.

  • Exposure to security best practices, logging, monitoring, and performance tuning in AWS.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

Expected Work Location (In Office): It is expected that you will primarily perform work at the Safelite Home Office (7400 Safelite Way, Columbus, OH 43235).
