The Clinical Supervisor / Senior Clinician plays a key leadership role within the behavioral health team, providing both clinical services and supervision to licensed counselors. This position ensures high-quality, evidence-based care while supporting the professional development of clinicians and maintaining compliance with clinical and regulatory standards.

In this role, you will oversee treatment planning, clinical documentation, and counselor development while collaborating closely with medical staff, operations leaders, and recovery support teams to deliver integrated care for patients experiencing substance use and mental health challenges.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide clinical oversight and supervision to licensed clinicians within the substance use disorder program
  • Review and sign counselor assessments, treatment plans, and clinical documentation to ensure quality and regulatory compliance
  • Support development of individualized recovery and treatment plans based on patient needs and program standards
  • Review discharge planning to ensure appropriate aftercare services and referral resources are in place
  • Provide case consultation, mentoring, and feedback to clinical counselors
  • Collaborate with medical staff, recovery specialists, and operational teams to support coordinated patient care
  • Maintain high standards of clinical integrity, documentation accuracy, and evidence-based treatment practices
  • Assist in staff training and development to strengthen clinical competencies
  • Support the Senior Director of Behavioral Health in maintaining regulatory, operational, and clinical standards
  • Participate in team meetings, interdisciplinary collaboration, and quality improvement initiatives

What We're Looking For:

  • Master's degree in clinical psychology, counseling, social work, mental health, addictions counseling, or related field
  • Independent clinical licensure (examples may include LADC I, LICSW, LMFT, or LMHC, depending on state requirements)
  • Minimum 2 years of supervised substance use disorder counseling experience
  • At least 1 year of clinical supervisory experience
  • Strong knowledge of evidence-based treatment approaches for substance use disorders
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and documentation skills
  • Ability to collaborate within a multidisciplinary care team
