Job Summary

Title: Senior Client Services Specialist

You'll Report To: Supervisor of Client Services and Billing

The Senior Client Services Specialist is responsible for providing support to the Underwriting team through offline work production and supplemental phone support. 

Responsibilities
  • Working with underwriters to ensure that all required information is obtained to promptly and accurately issue new policies. 
  • Completing workflow tasks as assigned. 
  • Assisting with special projects as needed. 
  • Processing of endorsements and policy changes. 
  • Communicating with the respective underwriter regarding policy concerns, needs or changes when appropriate. 
  • Directly supporting policy holders on behalf of select agent partners, providing full service, including coverage changes, recommendations and functions of a traditional agent.
  • Processing e-mails, system generated underwriting tasks and all other correspondence. 
  • Providing overflow inbound call support to Underwriting and Client Service queues, including but not limited to, responding to inquiries and questions from agents and customers, providing agents and insureds with accurate information, and maintaining a superior level of customer service. 
Qualifications

Education: Associates Degree preferred. 

Experience: Two (2) or more years of personal lines experience at a carrier or agency. 

Licensure:  Active Florida Insurance sales/service license required, 20-44 or 2-20 preferred. CPCU, AINS, API preferred. 

Knowledge:                       

  • Demonstrated skills in the use of computer software applications. 
  • Specific knowledge in a particular line of business and / or additional education may be required by the hiring business unit. 
  • Familiarity with various types of insurance policies preferred.

Skills:                                 

  • Proven ability in customer service required. 
  • Ability to communicate interpersonally with individuals and groups via telephone and in writing. 
  • Ability to communicate effectively with a wide variety of technical / professional / consumer clients. 
  • Ability to develop and maintain open and trusting working relationships with clients / agents in order to gather pertinent information.
  • Ability to balance timeliness and accuracy.
  • Ability to listen and communicate clearly while maintaining proper confidentiality. 
  • Strong decision-making and problem solving skills. 
  • Ability to innovate regarding methods and approaches to existing and future work processes.
  • Ability to be resourceful in information gathering and assess information for the best possible decision.
