Buyer

A procurement agent develops profitable measures to save the client money and ensure the quality of goods supplied. Procurement agents obtain the purchased items through suppliers, monitor them, and expedite the orders. They oversee the activities and performance of the suppliers for compliance. Their duties include the verification of item receipts, resolving shipment-related problems, and authorizing purchase payments through documentation. The necessary skills for this job include being accomplished, decisive, and strong communication skills .

  • Manage up to 150 vendors.
  • Direct, manage, and negotiate all relate facility contracts.
  • Manage desk of 80+ vendors
  • Achieve $200k cost savings buy locating excess material from OEM.
  • Manage the division's capital budget for all tooling expense and participate in annual ISO audits.
  • Manage MRO suppliers to ensure consistent use of same suppliers and obtaining the best overall cost savings.
  • Procure and collaborate with commodity managers and buyers for the purchase of prototype commodities.
  • Provide excellent customer service to staff, answering questions on procurement requests
  • Exceed all goals - OTD, PPI, and PPV.
  • Process purchase requisitions to POs for different commodities for MCI s end-user community.
  • Support production with procurement of parts by reviewing annual forecast, preparing RFQ's, placing orders and follow-up as needed.
