Job description

JOB SUMMARY

The Power Delivery Business Support Team plays a critical role in supporting the administrative, financial, and technology functions associated with the construction of Georgia Power transmission and distribution assets including, but not limited to, Transmission Construction, GRID, Distribution Construction, Network Underground, Make Ready, Asset Management, and Centralized Engineering.     


The Business Support Analyst will provide analytical support to the Power Delivery Construction leadership teams by monitoring project costs, analyzing spending trends, and providing insights that support operational and financial decision-making across the Construction organization. Field time with construction crews may be necessary to understand work practices, processes and job requirements in order to assist with back-office operations. This role partners closely with internal Technology and Digital teams to support business systems, reporting processes, and operational improvements that enhance efficiency and effectiveness. The successful candidate will serve as a trusted business partner by establishing effective working relationships with field personnel, Supply Chain, contractors, vendors, and leaders across multiple levels of the organization.


The position will be filled at an exempt level with the actual level depending on the knowledge, skills and abilities of the successful candidate.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Coordinate vendor onboarding, user access administration, system support, and escalation management for CATEE, CAMP, and other business systems

  • Provide troubleshooting, user support, and training for CATEE, CAMP, ES Maximo, Oracle Projects, and Oracle A/P processes

  • Create, route, and monitor ES Maximo purchase requests while assisting users with process-related issues

  • Serve as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams to support system enhancements, testing, implementation, and process improvements

  • Support contractor invoicing, billing, accrual, and financial processing activities within CAMP, CATEE, Oracle, and related business systems

  • Support contract administration activities, including contract setup, maintenance, revisions, and monitoring to ensure compliance with business and financial requirements

  • Support audit, governance, and compliance activities by ensuring adherence to company policies, financial controls, and business processes

  • Monitor and analyze project costs, budgets, and spending trends to support operational and financial decision-making and provide actionable insights to Construction leadership

  • Maintain and distribute recurring reports, metrics, and performance tracking tools to support business operations and leadership decision-making

  • Assist with data validation and ensure the accuracy and integrity of business reports and operational data

  • Present findings, recommendations, and business updates through reports and presentations

  • Develop and maintain business processes, procedures, governance documentation, and training materials while identifying opportunities for continuous improvement

  • Coordinate with Supply Chain, Finance, Operations, and external vendors to support business initiatives and resolve issues

  • Support additional Business Support Team initiatives, special projects, ad hoc reporting requests, and storm restoration activities as needed

JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education:  Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Management Information Systems, or a related field is preferred


EXPERIENCE:

  • Previous experience in accounting, finance, business administration, operations support, or a related field preferred

  • Experience working with enterprise business systems and applications (e.g., Maximo, Oracle, Financials, PowerPlant, CAMP, or similar platforms)

  • Understanding of accounting principles, project financials, cost tracking, budgeting, and management reporting preferred

  • Working knowledge of CAMP highly preferred

  • Experience supporting business operations through reporting, performance tracking, and management communications

  • Experience supporting enterprise business systems through troubleshooting, user support, training, and process improvements

  • Experience coordinating multiple requests, priorities, and stakeholders to achieve business objectives

  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel (pivot tables, formulas, and data analysis), Word, and PowerPoint

  • Experience collaborating with diverse stakeholders and building effective working relationships
