GFT is seeking a CEI Sr. Inspectorย to join our Construction Services Team in Tampa, FL!ย

What you'll be challenged to do:

This is an excellent career opportunity for anย experienced candidateย with aย minimum of 4 years' professional experience in construction of Roadway Projects and FDOT Standards. This role inspects and oversees construction work to ensure that results, procedures and materials comply with plans and specifications. This role will serve as a daily point of contact with clients and contractors, and manage all aspects of a project including construction observations, material testing and maintaining documentation.

In this capacity, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following:ย 

  • Verify levels, alignment, and elevation of installations.
  • Prepare samples of materials for laboratory testing.
  • Examine workmanship of finished installations for conformity to standard and approves installation.
  • Interpret plans and specifications for Contractor and discuss deviations from specified construction procedures to ensure compliance with regulations governing construction.
  • Record quantities of materials received or used during specified periods, develop pay estimates and change orders.
  • Maintain daily log of construction and inspection activities and compare progress reports.
  • Monitor several types of work activity.
  • Maintain construction safety practices and work methods for compliance
  • Manage documents using electronic platforms such as MAC, PrC and Procore

  • High school diploma.
  • 4+ years progressive experience in construction of roadways and transportation facilities, and/or infrastructure
  • A safety-first mindset.
  • Strong writing, listening and communication skills.
