What is a senior building inspector?

Senior Building Inspectors are experienced professionals responsible for overseeing and conducting inspections of buildings to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal building codes and regulations. They often supervise junior inspectors, review construction plans, and provide guidance on complex code issues. Senior Building Inspectors play a key role in public safety by ensuring that structures are safe, accessible, and built to required standards. Their duties may include inspecting new construction, renovations, and existing structures, as well as preparing reports and communicating findings to stakeholders.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a senior building inspector?

To thrive as a Senior Building Inspector, you need in-depth knowledge of building codes, construction practices, and inspection procedures, typically backed by relevant certifications and substantial field experience.
