GRAEF has a new opportunity for an FDOT CEI Sr. Inspector that will be able to work on a variety of transportation projects in the NW Florida region. Our CEI Sr. Inspector could reside anywhere in the Florida Panhandle.

We are looking for candidates that will be able to demonstrate an established career in performing the duties of a CEI Sr. Inspector on a variety of transportation projects in the NW Florida region. Our FDOT CEI Sr. Inspector would report remotely to our Orlando FL office, but could reside anywhere in the Florida Panhandle.
CEI Senior Inspector responsibilities include:
  • Perform work on projects in the NW Florida region, under the general supervision of GRAEF's CEI Construction Engineer and/or Project Administrator.
  • Perform highly complex technical assignments in construction layout, making/checking engineering computations, inspecting construction work, and conducting field tests.
  • Complete daily construction reports, manually or electronically. Also, review Inspector reports to include work performed, labor/equipment and material quantities.
  • Perform and review material testing of concrete, asphalt and aggregates.
  • Confirm materials adhere to specifications.
  • Inspect and verify construction work in process to ensure compliance.
  • Resolve quantity disputes with contractor, and ensure plan and contract conformance.
  • Opportunity to train and mentor less experienced employees.

We are considering FDOT CEI Sr. Inspectors who meet the following basic qualifications:
  • High School Diploma/GED or equivalent. Bachelor's degree considered a plus.
  • Minimum of 4 years of proven engineering inspection experience on a variety of bridge and/or roadway projects.
  • Have ability to perform work in the NW FL region.
  • All required CTQP qualifications/Other jurisdictional certifications:
    • CTQP Final Estimates Level I
    • CTQP Concrete Field Technician Level I
    • CTQP Concrete Field Inspector Level II (Bridges)
    • CTQP Asphalt Roadway Level I
    • CTQP Asphalt Roadway Level II
    • CTQP Earthwork Construction Inspection Level I
    • CTQP Earthwork Construction Inspection Level II
