What You'll Do:

  • Produce consistently high-quality design on a wide variety of bridge projects, both large- and small-scale, including the design on steel and concrete vehicular and pedestrian bridges.  
  • Prepare and complete discipline engineering designs that are responsive to project needs including the production of bridge design, shop drawing review, quantities, cost estimates, construction administration, and final specifications, ensuring that work is accurate and in accordance with good engineering codes and practice.
  • Plan and review the production of engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Conduct field observations and data collection activities.
  • Analyze technical problems, assessing the feasibility of proposed techniques and procedures, and devising new approaches and alternative solutions.

What We’re Looking For:

  • 8-10 years of experience in the design of all components of steel and concrete bridges or Masters Degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) required
  • Proficiency with MicroStation/OpenBridge and Leap Bridge software.  
  • Experience working NCDOT preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
  • Experience working in a multi-disciplinary engineering environment.
