Systems Engineer / System Architect

SITEC Consulting is seeking a Systems Engineer / System Architect to support advanced DoD aircraft, weapons, mission, and support systems. This role is ideal for an experienced engineer who enjoys working across the systems lifecycle, including architecture, design, integration, testing, and technical problem-solving.

In this position, you will support system-level engineering efforts involving computer hardware, software, navigation, sensor, and communication subsystems. You may also evaluate how emerging hardware and software solutions can support aircraft design, development, and manufacturing environments.

What You'll Do
  • Architect, design, integrate, and test aircraft, weapons, mission, and support systems
  • Support system testing of hardware, software, navigation, sensor, and communication subsystems
  • Recommend improvements to testing equipment, methods, and engineering techniques
  • Collaborate with NAVAIR's Human Systems Engineering Department on human-machine interface considerations
  • Interface with contractors, vendors, Government representatives, and program stakeholders on technical matters
  • Support technical planning, documentation, issue resolution, and engineering coordination

Senior-level candidates may also oversee junior staff, support staffing and project controls, and lead technical problem-resolution efforts.

Required Qualifications
  • U.S. Citizenship
  • Active Secret clearance
  • BS or BA degree in a technical discipline
    • Bachelor's degree is required; additional experience cannot be substituted
Experience Requirements
  • Journeyman: At least 5 years of Systems Engineering experience supporting DoD aircraft, weapons, mission, or support systems.
  • Senior: At least 10 years of Systems Engineering experience supporting DoD aircraft, mission, or support systems.

Relevant experience should include design, development, integration, and system testing of computer hardware, software, navigation, sensor, and communication subsystems.

Desired Background

Experience with Systems Engineering, architecture design, aircraft systems, weapons systems, mission systems, hardware/software integration, system testing, navigation, sensors, communications, human-machine interface, and DoD/NAVAIR environments is highly desired.

Why SITEC?

SITEC offers meaningful mission-focused work, competitive compensation, and a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), life insurance, HSA/FSA options, paid time off, and more.
