Job description

Job Title: Senior Backend Engineer - IoT & Data
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain containerized backend systems using Java 17+ and Spring Framework
Build scalable APIs and data transformation pipelines for real-time telemetry ingestion
Work with low-level communication protocols like Modbus and BACNet; utilize tools such as Wireshark for diagnostics
Deploy and manage solutions on Azure (preferred) or GCP
Implement and maintain observability systems to ensure system health and performance
Collaborate with a distributed team to deliver high-impact solutions
Troubleshoot and resolve issues in a fast-paced production environment
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical field
5+ years of experience in backend development using Java 17+ and Spring Framework
Strong understanding of API design, XML/JSON data models, and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
Experience with cloud platforms (Azure preferred, GCP acceptable)
Familiarity with observability tools and patterns
