Job description

As a Java Backend Developer, you will make an impact as the primary point of contact for all Java domain-related queries and issues. You will be a valued member of the team and work collaboratively with management, team members and client.
In this role, you will:
• Design and develop robust software applications using Spring boot Microservices to meet business requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of software components.
• Implement best practices in software development to enhance performance and scalability.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers to foster skill development.
• Oversee code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and guidelines.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues to maintain system reliability.
• Optimize application performance by identifying bottlenecks and implementing solutions.
• Participate in architectural discussions to drive innovation and efficiency in software design.
• Ensure software solutions are aligned with business goals and objectives.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for software applications.
• Engage in continuous learning to stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Contribute to the improvement of development processes and methodologies.
Work model:

Based on this role's business requirements, this is a hybrid position requiring 2- 3 days a week in a client or Cognizant office in Bentonville, AR.
What you must have to be considered:
• Possess a strong proficiency in Spring boot Microservices and Java for full stack development.
• Demonstrate expertise in Commerce Full Stack Engineering with a focus on Java technologies.
• Have a minimum of 6 years of experience in software development with a maximum of 10 years.
• Exhibit excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
• Show capability to work effectively in a hybrid work model and day shift environment.
• Display strong communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Maintain a commitment to continuous learning and professional development.

Salary and Other Compensation:
The annual salary for this position is between $90,000 - $100,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
