Senior Network Security Engineer (Hybrid – Richmond, VA)
Location: Mechanicsville, VA (Hybrid)
Duration: 12 Months
Interview: Onsite< class="PDq2pG_selectionAnchorContainer" data-start="581" data-end="610">
Key Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, and maintain secure on-premises and Azure network infrastructure.
  • Monitor, investigate, and respond to security incidents using SIEM tools.
  • Manage firewall rules, WAF technologies, and network security controls.
  • Perform threat hunting, vulnerability assessments, and remediation.
  • Support penetration testing, security documentation, and network architecture.
  • Collaborate with Infrastructure, Cloud, and Security teams to ensure a secure environment.

  • 8+ years of Enterprise Networking experience.
  • 5+ years of Enterprise Security experience.
  • 3+ years of Azure Networking and WAF/Next-Generation Firewall (NGFW) experience.
  • Experience with Palo Alto, F5 BIG-IP, Azure WAF, Cisco VPN, GlobalProtect, Splunk or Microsoft Sentinel.
  • Strong knowledge of incident response, threat intelligence, vulnerability management, and security monitoring.
  • Experience with Active Directory, MFA, Conditional Access, Cisco ISE, NAC, 802.1X, RADIUS, TACACS, and Zero Trust.
  • Familiarity with NIST CSF, NIST 800-53, CIS Benchmarks, and regulated environments.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and mentoring skills.
