Senior Azure DevOps / Cloud Platform Engineer

Location: Boston area

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Azure DevOps / Cloud Platform Engineer to help build, secure, automate, and support an enterprise Azure environment supporting AI and data initiatives.

This is a hands-on platform engineering role. The ideal candidate has strong experience with Azure, Terraform, Azure DevOps, CI/CD, networking, identity, and cloud security and can work closely with data, application, cybersecurity, and architecture teams.

The team already has an engineer focused heavily on Microsoft Fabric and Azure AI Foundry. This hire will complement that resource by bringing additional depth across Azure platform engineering, DevOps, security, governance, and infrastructure automation.

Core Requirements

5+ years of experience in Cloud Engineering, DevOps, DevSecOps, SRE, or Platform Engineering

3+ years of hands-on Azure production experience

Strong Terraform / Infrastructure as Code experience

Strong Azure DevOps and CI/CD experience, including YAML pipelines

Strong understanding of Azure networking, including:

VNets

Subnets

NSGs

Private Endpoints

DNS

Routing

Experience with Microsoft Entra ID / Azure RBAC

Experience with Azure Key Vault

Experience with Azure Monitor / Log Analytics

Experience building and supporting secure Azure environments across Dev/Test/Production

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

What You'll Do

Build and maintain Azure infrastructure supporting enterprise AI and data workloads

Develop and maintain Terraform infrastructure modules

Build and manage Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines

Support Microsoft Fabric, Azure AI Foundry, and related platform environments

Implement Azure security, identity, networking, and governance controls

Manage deployments across Dev, Test, and Production environments

Monitor platform performance, availability, cost, and resource utilization

Troubleshoot complex Azure infrastructure and deployment issues

Implement cloud governance using tools such as Azure Policy and Microsoft Purview

Partner with cybersecurity, data, application, networking, and architecture teams

Develop technical documentation, standards, and operational procedures

Ideal Candidate

The strongest candidate will be a hands-on Azure platform engineer first, with strong DevOps and infrastructure automation experience. Experience with Purview, Fabric, Foundry, or other AI/data platforms is a significant differentiator.

This is not primarily an AI developer role. The focus is on the cloud infrastructure, DevOps, security, automation, and governance that enable AI and data workloads to operate securely and reliably.
