Job description

Job title: Experienced Associate, Audit 
Location: Toronto office, Hybrid

Job vacancy status: Existing vacancy

Compensation range: $60,000-$80,000

Your opportunity

Work closely with Senior Associates and Managers on audit, client service and review engagements. Review client files to understand client businesses and develop technical audit skills. Expected start date January 2027. 


Your major responsibilities

  • Research and maintain strong understanding of the client’s business
  • Assist with the creation of financial statements including customized note disclosure as required
  • Identify accounting issues and collaborate with Senior Associate or Manager to develop work plans
  • Perform assigned assurance procedures and completes sections of the file under the supervision of the lead or Senior Associate
  • Develop questions to ensure reporting information is tested and demonstrates a reasonable understanding of client challenges
  • Prepare corporate tax returns as needed
  • Respond promptly and proactively to clients


What we look for

  • Pursuing a Canadian CPA designation
  • Completion of a Bachelors degree majoring in Accounting, Commerce or Business
  • Under two (2) years experience with a public accounting firm focused on assurance accounting and tax
  • Knowledge of CaseWare and TaxPrep is an asset
  • Solid understanding of business professionalism and the ability to work in a team environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
