Job description

Entry Level Interior Designer

An established multidisciplinary design firm creates places that energize, enrich, and empower people. From senior living and healthcare to student housing and multifamily communities, the firm designs interiors that shape how people live every day. Join the Austin studio and help transform research based ideas into spaces that improve quality of life, from the first sketch through furniture installation.

What You Will Accomplish

• Support project teams from concept through construction by producing coordinated interior drawings, finish schedules, and details that integrate architecture, lighting, and furnishings

• Complete product research, FF&A budgets, and specification packages to ensure selections remain aligned with cost, code, and schedule requirements

• Coordinate document reviews and requests for information to keep interiors aligned with architectural plans and consultant work throughout construction documentation and administration

• Assist with furniture purchasing and installation to ensure spaces are ready for occupancy according to the project schedule

• Prepare presentation boards and materials that clearly communicate design intent to clients and internal team members

• Travel as needed to project sites and vendor showrooms to verify conditions, selections, and punch list items

Environment and Resources

You will work in person in the Austin office alongside architects, planners, landscape architects, and interior designers as part of an integrated multidisciplinary team. You will report to Interior Design leadership and use BIM platforms, including ArchiCAD or Revit, along with standard office tools and vendor resources.

Mentorship, accredited educational programs, and professional membership support are provided to encourage continued growth. This is a full time salaried position offering paid time off, holidays, medical, dental, and vision insurance, along with a 401(k) plan featuring a company contribution.

Essential Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design

• Legal authorization to work in the United States

• One to three years of experience in an interior design or architecture firm, or equivalent studio experience producing coordinated interior designs

• Proficiency in ArchiCAD or Revit sufficient to produce and coordinate interior documents

• Ability to research products, track FF&A budgets, and support projects through detailing, finish selection, and furniture installation

• Clear written and verbal communication skills

• Initiative, reliability, and the ability to meet deadlines in a collaborative studio environment

• Interest in senior living, multifamily, student housing, or healthcare interiors is preferred

Why Join the Firm

• Contribute to nationally recognized projects that redefine living environments, particularly within senior housing

• Work with a research driven firm that uses demographic insights to inform its designs

• Participate throughout the full project life cycle rather than working on only one phase

• Join a close knit Austin team that collaborates with colleagues in Tampa

• Participate in team retreats, social events, and community service initiatives supporting organizations such as the Central Texas Food Bank and Dell Children’s

• Receive training, professional membership support, and opportunities for long term growth

Qualified candidates are invited to submit a resume and curated portfolio in PDF format. Please demonstrate how your experience and design perspective can help create communities that improve daily life.
