Overview

BRMi is seeking a Mobile Developer to support the development, maintenance, and enhancement of enterprise mobile banking applications across iOS and/or Android platforms. This role will work within a cross-functional Agile team to deliver secure, reliable, high-performing, and user-friendly mobile experiences.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on native mobile development experience with Swift/Objective-C for iOS or Kotlin/Java for Android, along with experience integrating APIs, troubleshooting production applications, and working within Agile development environments.

**Hybrid in Vienna, VA, Pensacola, FL, or Winchester, VA**

Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, test, and maintain mobile application features for iOS and/or Android platforms.
  • Develop native mobile applications using Swift/Objective-C and Xcode or Kotlin/Java and Android Studio.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve application defects and production issues.
  • Identify opportunities to improve application performance, reliability, and stability.
  • Integrate mobile applications with RESTful APIs, backend services, and third-party libraries.
  • Collaborate with mobile developers, backend engineers, designers, analysts, product owners, and other stakeholders.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Write and maintain unit tests and UI/automated tests to support application quality.
  • Participate in peer code reviews and contribute to development standards and best practices.
  • Ensure solutions follow platform-specific development, security, accessibility, and performance standards.
  • Contribute to reusable mobile components, libraries, and development frameworks.
  • Stay current with iOS/Android operating system changes, mobile development trends, and emerging technologies.
  • Support CI/CD and automated mobile application build and deployment processes.
  • Mentor less experienced developers and contribute to team knowledge sharing, as appropriate for experience level.
  • Contribute to broader mobile platform initiatives, architecture, and technical strategy at senior levels.
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Professional experience developing native mobile applications for iOS and/or Android.
  • Strong experience with at least one of the following technology stacks:
    • iOS: Swift, Objective-C, Xcode
    • Android: Kotlin, Java, Android Studio
  • Experience designing, developing, testing, and supporting production mobile applications.
  • Experience integrating RESTful APIs and backend services into mobile applications.
  • Experience working with third-party mobile libraries, SDKs, and frameworks.
  • Understanding of native mobile application architecture and development best practices.
  • Experience with source control, peer code reviews, debugging, and automated testing.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience working within Agile software development teams.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with both technical and business stakeholders.

  • Experience developing mobile applications within banking, financial services, or another highly regulated enterprise environment.
