Job description

The Digital S/W Engineer Senior Analyst SDE - Mobile Development is a Technology/ Engineering role involving both development and Testing. As a member of the SCRUM team, you will be delivering Customer facing Banking and/or Credit Card features on digital channels such as Browser and Mobile. You will be involved in all stages of the Agile SDLC cycle. It includes but not limited to (a)Requirement analysis: Grooming of user stories, Story pointing, decomposing big stories into smaller stories and define acceptance criteria. (b)DesignReview:Reviewing screens, flows, features, and customer communications (emails, SMS’s, notifications, PDF documents) and making sure that they are consistent with user story acceptance criteria (c)Software development: Developing, configuring and debugging applications comprising of mobile frontend and Micro services. (d)Validations:Creating automated and manual test scripts on BDD (Behavior Based Development) framework, executing test scripts. Identifying, triaging and fixing any defects. Conditioning and maintaining the test data. (e)Artifact Ownership:Creating and maintaining testing artifacts such as Test plans and Exit reports and maintaining traceability as per SDLC guidelines. Maintaining SDLC hygiene involving stories. Test cases and defects. Ensuring that no untested code goes out to production. (f)SDLC Process and Standards:Adhering to ADA (Americans with Disability Act) Guidelines, participating in retrospectives, process improvement workshops, audits and performing root cause analysis. (g)Postproductionsupport: Supporting the technical check outs during release go live and postproduction activities.

Responsibilities
  • Turn tech stack and application design into code on multiple development platforms (e.g. iOS, Android, Java spring boot services).
  • Ability to use AI tools like Copilot for code generation, refactoring, and debugging.
  • Develop and maintain BDD (Behavior Driven Development) automated and manual scripts in a code repository. Execute them and maintain test results in a test management tool for further reporting and establishing traceability. Create Jenkins jobs and plug in to CI-CD pipeline.
  • Experience using AI tools accelerate unit tests, API scaffolding, Angular components, and Spring Boot boilerplate.
  • Actively participate in the entire software development cycle involving development, integration and E2E testing in a CI/CD environment (RTC, Jenkins). Automate and enable shift left.
  • Accountable for development, design, construction, testing and implementation and write secure, stable, testable and maintainable code.
  • Continuously build, maintain documentation for your features and develop SME – Subject Matter Expertise in specific areas covering end to end flows, from digital to downstream to external partners.
  • Analyze root causes for application issues and performance concerns. Collaborate within the scrum team, across other impacted downstream or upstream entities and external partners to solve the issues. Triage, track and report defects followed by prioritization, fix and closure.
  • Adhere to SDLC control processes. Suggest and implement continuous improvements.
  • Apart from functional validations to meet the acceptance criteria, validate Responsive Web Design and validate ADA Accessibility using screen readers such as NVDA, Voiceover and Talkback, code scan using Axe, perform CCA and be comfortable with other ADA tools and processes.
  • Review metrics and proactively seek out new and improved ways for visibility ensuring your program stays on track or excels in meeting the organization objectives.
  • Work in a fast-paced environment involving onshore offshore teams.
Education, Qualification & Certifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering or related fields in STEM or comparable work experience.
  • 5+ years of Full stack mobile Development and Testing experience in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) test automation using Selenium with Cucumber framework.
  • Preferable to have experience with cloud-based development platforms such as OpenShift.
  • Working knowledge of JIRA, Zephyr, Confluence SharePoint, Microsoft Teams and Microsoft office suite.
  • Self-motivated and ready to take ownership.
  • Excellent written, oral communication and interpersonal skills
