Job description

Job Summary:
IMCS Group is one of the fastest growing MWBE staffing firms in the U.S. They are seeking a Senior QA Engineer – Android Testing with expertise in mobile application testing and automation. The role involves leading quality initiatives, developing test strategies, and collaborating with teams to ensure high-quality delivery of Android applications.
Responsibilities:
• Own and drive end-to-end testing strategy for Android applications (manual + automation)
• Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts
• Ensure application quality across multiple Android devices, OS versions, and environments
• Lead automation efforts using tools like Appium/Selenium and improve test coverage
• Perform functional, regression, integration, API, and performance testing
• Collaborate with developers, architects, and product owners to ensure quality delivery
• Identify risks, gaps, and bottlenecks early and provide mitigation strategies
• Manage and track defects using tools like Jira; ensure closure within SLA
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and ensure continuous testing integration
• Mentor junior QA engineers and promote best practices in QA processes
• Participate actively in Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives)
Qualifications:
Required:
• 6–8 years of experience in Software Testing with strong exposure to Android mobile testing
• Strong expertise in mobile app testing strategies and device compatibility
• Test planning, execution, and defect management
• Hands-on experience in automation tools/frameworks: Appium / Selenium with Java
• Good understanding of STLC, SDLC, and Agile methodologies
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Git, Maven
• Experience in API testing (REST/SOAP)
• Familiarity with test management tools like Jira, Zephyr, TestRail
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science / IT or equivalent
Preferred:
• Experience in designing and scaling automation frameworks
• Exposure to mobile cloud testing platforms (BrowserStack, Perfecto, etc.)
• Knowledge of performance and security testing for mobile applications
• Basic understanding of Android architecture (Kotlin/Java)
• Domain experience in Retail
• Experience in BDD frameworks (Cucumber/Gherkin)
• Exposure to DevOps and shift-left testing practices
• Accessibility testing (ADA compliance)
