Job description

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Android Developer to join our mobile development team and play a key role in enhancing and evolving an existing Android application.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Kotlin, Android SDKs, and Android APIs across multiple OS versions, along with experience developing and maintaining large-scale mobile applications. This role will be responsible for delivering new features, improving application performance, contributing to architecture decisions, and maintaining high standards for code quality and engineering excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and deploy new features for an existing Android application.
  • Write clean, efficient, maintainable, and scalable Kotlin code using modern Android development practices.
  • Work with Android SDKs and APIs across multiple Android OS versions.
  • Analyze and optimize application performance, stability, and responsiveness.
  • Contribute to architectural decisions and the technical direction of the Android platform.
  • Integrate Android applications with RESTful APIs and backend services.
  • Work with product managers, UX/UI designers, and backend engineers to define requirements and deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Implement asynchronous data handling and ensure reliable application behavior.
  • Follow established coding standards, design patterns, testing practices, and development processes.
  • Participate in code reviews and promote engineering best practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Stay current with Android platform updates, emerging technologies, and industry trends.
  • Mentor junior developers and contribute to a culture of technical excellence.
  • Support CI/CD processes and source code management using Git.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of professional Android development experience.
  • Strong proficiency in Kotlin.
  • Deep understanding of Android SDKs and APIs across different OS versions.
