Job description

PrimaryResponsibilities & Duties:

Directs physical plant operations and facilities services.

      Directs department operations; providesleadership to departmental staff and supervises assistant director andadministrative staff.

      Develops and manages departmental budgets, whichinclude deferred maintenance, capital renewal, renovations, and utilities.

      Oversees renovations and construction $1 millionor under, or due to an emergency.

      Conducts cost analyses and directs theprocurement of renovation services.

      Maintains contract agreements, includingcustodial services outsourcing contracts.

      Coordinates communications and preparation ofthe specifications of new construction and renovations between Facilities Services and System Facilities Planning &Construction.

      Serves on the Facilities Space PlanningCommittee and Emergency Management Team.

      Assesses department services effectiveness;develops department goals and objectives.

      Provides short- and long-range planning offacilities services and cost analysis reports.

      Develops policies and proceduresrelated to facilities services.

      Serves as property manager; overseesthe property inventory.

      Performs other job-related duties as required.

Education &Experience:

Bachelor's degree in business administration, constructionmanagement or related field and (7) years related experience.
